Week Three, and the Blog Tour marches on!

Today the lovely folk at A Dream Within a Dream have posted up an excerpt from The Curse Merchant, featuring another memorable secondary character, Osterhaus’ enforcer Reed Malosi. What I like most about Reed is that he’s not the brainless thug one might expect. He’s a talented hermetic practitioner in his own right, and knows how to keep a secret!

I’ll shake things up a little bit today on the blog tour. Paranormal Romance Fans for Life is hosting my guest post in which I discuss Samwise Gamgee, Lucius Malfoy, and what defines a “reflection character.”

Another excerpt posted up today, this time at Bookluvrs Haven. This particular excerpt is a good showcase for the flavor of dialogue you’ll find in the Dark Choir series, particularly from Dorian Lake’s perspective. In this snippet, Dorian and his ex-lover Carmen have a back-and-forth that reveals a little of how Dorian came into his wealth, and how he and Carmen come from very different backgrounds.

Today, Tricia Kristufek of Musings of a Writing Reader is spotlighting The Curse Merchant with an excerpt. This particular excerpt features one of my favorite characters from the book: the Syrian. Ever polite, polished, articulate… and always watching.

Today I am interviewed at “Off the Page“, Suzanne van Rooyen’s blog. If you don’t know Suzanne, she’s awesome. Also, she lives in Finland, which is extra awesome. Run on over and check out my interview… you’ll catch a little background on what inspired me to write The Curse Merchant there.

In other news, the short story prequel to The Curse Merchant is now available for free download. Run on over to Smashwords and grab a copy of “Bait and Witch.” For Kindle owners out there, the story is available on Amazon, though at the moment it costs $0.99. Once the planets align and price adjustments kick in, etc. etc., it’ll be available as a free download there as well. If you feel impatient, however, feel free to chip in ninety-nine cents for an entertaining short!

“Bait and Witch” will be available for free download this weekend on Amazon and Smashwords… assuming uploads go well, etc. etc. It’s a little micro-slice of Dorian’s life, a case study from earlier in his career. So keep your eyes open, download the free story, and let your friends know!
